In 2005, web designer Matt Schaefer noticed something that didn’t sit right: lawyers and attorneys were paying roughly five times more for a website than typical business clients — not because the work was five times harder, but because no one had built an affordable, transparent alternative specifically for the legal market.
Law firms were spending thousands with web designers and directory listing services, only to find they weren’t appearing on Google. Billing was opaque. Response times were slow.
